Creare durare

Creare Durare

Create to last. I enjoy old books and places charged with tradition and history. I always feel a special emotion when visiting a library - I believe it emerges from the subtil blend between the knowledge and wisdom gathered in these places often immersed in silence.

Objects and acts made to last, for timeless sharing. Create to last, "Creare Durare", is a state of mind from which I draw my strength. It is by discovering the work and inventions in all kind of arts that I find an inexhaustible source of inspiration. In "Creare Durare", the choice for latin is not trivial, it recalls the past, the tradition and knowledge. The maxine is however turned to the future, to something that will last. This blend between past and future is naturally found in my horological creations.

I cherish the idea that the traditional horological art object that I craft is made to cross through the ages and carry an emotion beyond our era. Ambitious and demanding bet on which I yield no concession. One day my mentor, Philippe Dufour, shared with me one of his guiding life motto: "Everything that deserves to be done, deserves to be done well.". While appearing simple, this adage, applied to our acts, naturally leads us to excellence and the mastery of our art.

Through my horological creations, I thrive and realize myself but above all, I enjoy sharing my passion with fine watchmaking lovers. I am a fortunate Being, surrounded by people I love and living from what I love. Freely.

Love and Gratitude are powerful sources of energy and inspiration.
